For the past year, Brentwood Borough has been evaluating the possibility of selling its sanitary sewer system to a private utility firm. In September, Council authorized the release of a request for proposals, and bids were received in October 2020. Pennsylvania American Water submitted the potential winning bid in the amount of $19.2 million. Prior to consideration of a sales agreement, Council seeks to solicit citizen commentary at a public hearing, which is scheduled for November 30th at 6PM at the Brentwood Municipal Building. Representatives of Pennsylvania American Water will be in attendance to answer resident questions. Written comments will be accepted through 12PM via mail or via email to gzboyovsky @ brentwoodboro.com.
