Borough Encourages Support of Local Merchants; Provides Free Parking on Major Shopping Dates

Brentwood Borough is inviting shoppers to patronize local proprietors during this year’s holiday season. Because of our mix of national chains and unique specialty stores, consumers can avoid the malls and browse for a large number of products without ever leaving the borders of our community.  By participating in the "Buy Brentwood" campaign, residents can promote the revitilization of our commercial corridors. In celebration of our business community, the Borough will be offering free parking on Brownsville Road during Black Friday (November 23rd) and Small Business Saturday (November 24th).

Popular Vendors to Appear at Food Truck Event

Make way for a convoy of mobile restaurants! Residents are invited to savor the flavors of seven local vendors at the Brentwood-Baldwin-Whitehall Chamber of Commerce Summer Food Truck Festival.  Enjoy slow-cooked classics from South Side BBQ, Cajun creations from Pittsburgh Po'Boy, specialty slices from Bados Pizza, legendary sandwiches from Primanti Brothers, delicate French street foods from Pittsburgh Crepes, frozen treats from Sugar 'n Spice, and gourmet coffeee from Sweet Sips Cafe. The event takes place on Thursday, August 29th in the south parking lot of Baldwin High School. These wheeled kitchens will be serving from 5PM to 7PM.

Rain or Shine, Borough Retains Traditional Trick-or-Treat

While other communities have shifted the dates of Trick-or-Treat, Brentwood continues to schedule this important youth event on Halloween. From 6PM to 8PM on October 31st, our little ghouls, goblins, and gremlins will be haunting local streets in search of sweet and salty snacks! Borough officials remind parents and children to adhere to the simple tips noted on the attached list to ensure a safe and festive experience.
