The dedicated service of the Brentwood Borough Police Department has helped to preserve the high quality-of-life that our residents demand. Our municipality is preparing to add one more community-oriented individual to our squad. Through June 13th at 4PM, the Borough will accept applications from those who are committed to combating crime and helping others in times of need. Candidates for the position of entry level police officer must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid driver's license, and have either earned Act 120 certification or be actively enrolled in a state-sanctioned police academy. Individuals who submit a completed application will be invited to participate in a physical agility and written knowledge test at the Allegheny County Police Academy on June 25th. In recognition of the sacrifices that candidates make to train for these positions, Brentwood Borough Council has elected to waive all testing fees.
