At its July 23rd meeting, Borough Council authorized two transformative construction initiatives. Each of these projects will provide a significant boost to the vitality of our municipality. First, Council approved the final land development plan for a proposed small format hospital. This taxable new facility, which is one of four that are being designed by Allegheny Health Network to expand suburban access to healthcare, will serve as a gateway to the municipality for southbound traffic travelling via Route 51. Second, the body made a final selection on the scope of improvements to Brentwood's cherished community pool. Based upon extensive resident feedback, Council endorsed a project $2.9 million project that includes relocated changing areas and restrooms. It is preliminarily planned that the site will be closed for the 2019 season to accommodate construction activity.
