As the Borough of Brentwood has completed its move to a new municipal building, leadership has weighed the future of its former base of operations. In order to ensure that this property is reused in a way that maximizes its benefit to the community, the Borough seeks to ultimately transfer this parcel to a private entity for the purposes of creating a mixed-use building. Brentwood will utilize a two-step process to select the developer who will be charged with establishing this transformative new cornerstone structure. Through July 8, 2021 at 2PM, the Borough will be accepting responses to a Request for Qualifications from interested firms. Each respondent must have a minimum of ten years of experience in the field of real estate development, and candidates will be ranked based upon their ability to create local jobs, attract desirable retail tenants, establish market rate housing, and enhance the overall condition of the surrounding neighborhood. Developers will also have the ability to acquire ownership of the adjacent Borough-owned properties at 10-12 Marylea Avenue and 3630 Pary Avenue.
