Borough Government

Bids to Be Accepted for Sewer Repair Contract

Through March 5th at 10AM, the Borough will accept sealed bids from qualified contractors for the repair and evaluation of both sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure. The vendor will be required to complete CCTV video of designated pipes, perform point repairs of defective sections, and install new wye connections and/or manholes as needed. The Borough reserves the right to renew this contract for FY 2020 and 2021. For more information, view the attached legal notice.

Council Proposes Budget; Major Projects Funded Without Tax Increases

On November 25th, Borough Council approved the advertising of its 2020 Operating Budget. This document includes funding for vital projects without any increase in tax rates, service fees, or the municipal share of the sanitary sewer assessment. A complete copy may be reviewed here. Council will consider adoption of the budget at its December 9th meeting.

Borough Continues Participation in Multi-Municipal Refuse Bid

Brentwood Borough will join with 17 peer municipalities as part of a regional contract for the collection of trash and recyclable materials. Because nearly 100,000 residential units are covered as part of this award, participating communities are able to receive a reduced unit price for this vital service. As has been the case in prior years, the South Hills Area Council of Governments will oversee the bidding process. Interested haulers are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 8th at 9:30AM at the Upper St. Clair Community Center. Proposals will be accepted through 10:30AM on July 11th.
