On January 23rd, Brentwood Borough Council will hold a public hearing to review a request for an intermunicipal liquor license transfer.  Giant Eagle Incorporated is seeking to allow both carryout sales and on-premises consumption at its GetGo store at 3601 Saw Mill Run Boulevard.  Under state law, alcoholic beverage permits are allocated to municipalities based upon population; because all assigned Brentwood permits have been exhausted, Giant Eagle has tentatively agreed to purchase License No. R-12368 from an establishment in Upper St. Clair Township.  Acquisition of this license is contingent upon the approval of both Council and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.  The meeting will take place at 7PM at the Brentwood Municipal Building. Council will subsequently vote to either approve or deny the request at its Februrary 20th business meeting.
