  • Infrastructural Updates: Contracts have been awarded for Phases I & II of the park enhancement project, and a groundbreaking ceremony for this long awaited development will be held on May 3rd.  The Borough is also soliciting proposals from experienced architectural firms that outline both renovation and reconstruction options for the municipal building.

     

    Zoning Ordinance Revisions:  The comprehensive overhaul of the zoning ordinance is nearly complete.  The Planning Commission provided a list of suggestions to our outside consultant during the April meeting.  It is anticipated that Council will vote on a finalized draft before the conclusion of the summer season.

     

    Rental Property Ordinance:  Landlords who have failed to apply for a rental license are currently being prosecuted at the magistrate.  The first round of rental inspections will commence on May 1st.

     

    Brentwood Pool: The 2013 season begins on May 25th! Passes will be available for sale at the Civic Center from May 21st through 23rd or at the pool entrance during regular operating hours.

Final 2013 Property Tax Rate to be Considered

 

During the January 22, 2013 Regular Brentwood Borough Council Meeting, Brentwood Borough Council will consider adopting Ordinance No. 1210-2013 – titled “Borough of Brentwood 2013 Final Real Property Tax Rate.” Based on the proposed 2013 Borough Budget, the tax rate will be set at 7.50 mils. This is a 0.36 increase over the revenue neutral tax rate of 7.14 mils calculated in response to the December 20, 2012 Allegheny County Reassessed property values for the Borough of Brentwood.
