New Strategy Designed to Reduce Sediment Levels in Waterway Print E-mail

Allegheny County communities are working diligently to improve water quality in area rivers and streams. Brentwood Borough, along with 13 other municipalities within the Saw Mill Run drainage basin, is required by state and federal law to develop policies that will reduce the introduction of pollutants into this waterway. The newly implemented Total Maximum Daily Load Strategy, which is designed to combat the introduction of harmful sediments, can be viewed here.  Members of the public are welcomed to submit formal commentary on this policy. For comment guidelines, see the attached legal notification.
